I had the pleasure of capturing Kristen’s maternity session last year- and I was thrilled when she returned to celebrate her son’s first birthday at the same location in Lavallette, NJ. I thought this was such a fun way to celebrate a huge milestone for their little boy and for themselves as parents. When we plan sessions, creating something that is unique and perfect for your family (or you as a couple) is the most important thing to me. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing their maternity session and birthday portraits in Lavallette NJ!

Maternity Portraits on the Beach

Last year, Kristen wanted to capture her maternity portraits right on the beach in Lavallette NJ. Together, we explored the sand and they were even brave enough to dip their toes in the water (which I’m always a fan of for beach portraits!). Kristen looked amazing and I loved the simple white dress she chose to wear to show off her baby bump. It was a dreamy session! 

First Birthday Portraits in Lavallette NJ

Now their little guys is already a year old. Getting to meet him after capturing his momma was so special to me. He was adorable!! Although we didn’t expect the chilly weather this time, we still managed to capture plenty of beautiful photos. I loved his little blue shoes (the same ones they held in their maternity photos!!) and his parents brought a gold “1” for him to hold and play with. I think he was more interested in the balloon than me, but that’s alright! We had a lot of fun with his birthday portraits in Lavalette NJ. 

I’m so excited to continue this tradition with the B family in the future and so grateful they trusted me to capture such big milestones for their family – not once, but twice now!
