Engagement

Is there anything more romantic than Central Park in the summer? When Cara and Taner began chatting with me about their engagement session, they knew they wanted to have their portraits taken in New York. As we talked more, we realized that Central Park is somewhere very special to them and decided it would be the perfect location for their engagement portraits! I’m all about finding locations that are meaningful to you! I loved how excited Cara and Taner were for their Central Park engagement session – and I can’t wait for uyo to see these beautiful portraits!

Their Love Story

Cara and Taner met during a mutual friend’s college graduation party. In fact, their wedding date is the anniversary of the date they first had a conversation! How romantic is that?! They were engaged last August on a trip to the Upper East Side. Taner asked Cara if she wanted to go spend time in their old neighborhood and she of course said she wanted to. She even asked if they could visit The Conservatory in Central Park for a picnic on the trip. It turns out, that’s where Taner wanted to propose anyway so she was making it super easy for him! They had their picnic and Taner kneeled during it to propose. Now, they’re engaged – and it’s so easy to see how much they adore each other!

Central Park Engagement Session

Central Park is one of the most romantic spots in New York City, if you ask me. When Cara and Taner mentioned this is where they wanted their portraits, I was just as excited as them. Between the stone work, the staircases, and the gorgeous views of the park and city skyline, I knew we’d have a lot to work with together. Cara and Taner showed up looking like they’d just stepped out of a magazine, too! (PS. Need outfit ideas for your engagement photos? Check out some here!) I love when my couples dress up and really get excited about their portraits. Together, we wandered around the park, letting them do what they do best – dance together, laugh, and just enjoy spending an afternoon with each other.

I hope you love scrolling through their joyful Central Park engagement portraits! Congratulations again, Cara and Taner!
