Not only have I had the opportunity to build friendships with the couples that I’m blessed to photograph, but I also have been able to work alongside other wedding photographers as a second shooter and bond over the passion that we share. Both relationships have a special place in my heart!
For Jacqueline & Tom’s wedding this past summer, I was the second shooter for Asher Gardner, a remarkable wedding photographer based out of New York.
It was an absolute blast working with Asher. She was so sweet and had such an amazing vision for the way she wanted to photograph Jacqueline & Tom in their modern-chic wedding, held at The Foundry in Long Island City. This location, filled with industrial elements and beautiful greenery, was so intimate and romantic!
Speaking of romance, can we take a second to talk about how cute this couple is?! You could practically feel the warmth of the love that they had for one another. For their big day, Jacqueline wore a stunning and sexy dress, while her groom looked stylish and sophisticated. Their first look, which took place on a balcony overlooking the city, was absolutely breathtaking. I can confirm that there was no dry eye during this scene!
My favorite part of their wedding, other than witnessing two families becoming one, was the floral ceremony arch. Words cannot describe the absolute beauty (or wonderful aroma) of this piece. It was incredible!
Plus, I LOVED how they incorporated their pup, Harlow, in their big day. This pooch is so special to them, and made an appearance both on the napkins and signature cocktail list. So cute!
Jacqueline & Tom, I wish you both a life filled with wedded bliss! Thank you for letting me crash your party as Asher’s second shooter!
Asher, thank you so much for trusting my abilities to stand alongside you as your “plus one” to capture the love story of Jacqueline & Tom! It was an honor, and I hope we get the chance to do it again soon!
