I’m so excited to share Selena and Kelvin’s gorgeous New York City engagement portraits with you! Selena and Kelvin are the sweetest and I’m so happy they reached out for me to capture these portraits for them. Selena and Kelvin met during a study abroad program in Hong Kong. She came from the US and he came from Australia. They fell in love, and the rest is history! A little fun fact – Selena and Kelvin are actually already married. They eloped this year in the mountains of Colorado together, in a romantic private ceremony. Either way, I STILL love their gorgeous NYC engagement session.
New York City Engagement Session
As we started talking about portraits and photography, it became clear that Selena and Kelvin love candid portraits. It was important for me to capture that and their personalities during their NYC session. Because of that, we chose two locations for their session in the city. First up was Central Park and then along the city streets. The two spots gave us all of the vibes we wanted from the city while still allowing us to capture fun moments between Selena and Kelvin. They also chose some incredible outfits for both spots. The floral print dress Selena wore during our portraits in Central Park was gorgeous – and their second outfits brought a modern, chic vibe to everything.
I loved hearing all about their plans for their public ceremony and reception with their family friends. I can tell it’s going to be a super relaxed and casual day, just focusing on celebrating their love with the ones they care for. I’m so happy for you, Selena and Kelvin.
